1. Guelph Wellington Local Food Tent to serve jazz lovers hungry for more

A winning combination for the past two years, the Guelph Jazz Festival and Guelph Wellington Local Food have paired up again this year to bring patrons the best of the region's food experiences.

The Guelph Wellington Local Food Tent will be at the Upper Wyndham Street Jazz Tent in downtown Guelph on Saturday, September 12 from 11 am to 11 pm. Visitors will discover farm fresh food from Guelph and Wellington County farmers that has been lovingly crafted into mouth-watering creations.

Try some chicken souvlaki with fresh yogurt tzatziki, lamb and vegetable curry, roasted vegetable quesadillas with chevre cheese, and Greek village salad with local tomatoes, cucumber and feta. Then follow it up with an assortment of baked goods featuring in season fruits, fresh squeezed peach juice, or coffee and tea from Guelph's own Planet Bean Coffee.

2. Volunteering positions still available

If you're looking for a way to make new friendships, build a vibrant community and hear some amazing music, the Guelph Jazz Festival and Colloquium still has volunteer positions available. Specifically, people with food prep experience and drivers who have their own cars are being sought but there are also openings for general help.

Schedules are flexible and volunteers are only required to commit to a minimum of 6 hours of work. Plus, for each 6 hours of volunteering, you'll receive a free ticket to a paid concert at this year's Festival.
