Two more GJF concerts on CBC Radio 2
John Kameel Farah and Tallboys, from the 2008 Guelph Jazz Festival
CBC Radio 2's contemporary music show, The Signal, will be airing two more concerts from this year's Guelph Jazz Festival, tonight and next Monday.
* Airing tonight (Nov.3), 11 pm: John Kameel Farah. A solo keyboardist, Farah's late-night show included early and Baroque keyboard music, ambient minimalism, Middle-Eastern music, techno, and electroacoustics.
* Airing next Monday (Nov 10), 11 pm: The Tallboys. This combination of Kevin Breit (guitar), Matt Brubeck (cello) and Jesse Stewart (drums) was a hit at the tent, in the late hours of Saturday night.
As well, Radio 2 will be broadcasting additional recordings from two Jazz Festival concerts they featured last month: Rene Lussier and Kevin Breit (Nov. 5, 11:30 pm) and ICP Orchestra (Nov. 12, 11 pm).
CBC Radio 2 is at 94.1 FM in Toronto, 90.7 FM in Kitchener. For more info, go here.
Postscript: Jane's drum found!
Jane Bunnett's missing Cuban drum has been found. An enthusiastic fan had found it at the tent after the Saturday concert, and is now returning it to the Toronto bandleader.
