Each member of Tasa is accomplished in several musical fields, including world music, jazz, popular music, film music, and theatre. They are joined by American violinist Mark Feldman, who can transform almost any musical situation with his exceptional musicality.

David Darling (USA)

"Maverick cellist" is the phrase most often assigned to Grammy Nominated Artist, David Darling, but it hardly captures the richness, diversity, breadth and sense of humor of a man who literally redefines the way the cello is played and the way music is taught.

Lamentations of Jeremiah by Peter Togni, with Jeff Reilly and Elmer Iseler Singers

Peter Togni has composed a haunting concerto for bass clarinet virtuoso Jeff Reilly with the renowned Elmer Iseler Singers; it represents the most significant Made in Canada work to be released by the legendary ECM record label.

Henry Grimes, Jane Bunnett, Andrew Cyrille (US/ON)

This trio having been formed specifically for an appearance at this year's festival, Henry Grimes (double bass) is joined by Toronto's Jane Bunnett (flute and soprano saxophone) with Andrew Cyrille (drums) as the rhythmic connective tissue.
